MSc Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigation
I found the University of Central Lancashire while searching for schools to do my masters, I knew I had found the school for me. It was unique and stood out from every other school offering my course. From information on the website about the course modules to the information about Preston, it was no longer debatable, I was going to study here! The course modules for Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigation resonated so much with me and my career plans. I wanted a school that would give me a sneak-peek into my career, and the University did that. I didn't just want to learn theory; I wanted a practical experience. My tutors are very supportive. It is beautiful to see someone take keen interest in my learning ability. I love that they are eager for me to learn and understand. It's been interesting learning from lecturers with so much experience in the field and not just teaching the theory. I really find it fascinating learning from their careers and experiences. I've also been asked my career plans and it's good to know that they always offer help whenever and wherever they can.

The University of Central Lancashire demonstrates great flexibility and support for students from diverse backgrounds and situations, particularly international students. The modern campus is set in the heart of the city of Preston but there are many wonderful parks to explore and lots of greenery around the city. Preston has a fantastic train station with fast trains that connect many major cities in the UK such as Manchester, London, and Edinburgh. Having lived in Bangkok and London, my initial impression of Preston is that it is a beautiful and peaceful city but there are lots of things to do. There are a variety of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores to explore. Additionally, the Students' Union host a variety of interesting events, ensuring there's always something exciting to do. I’ve also studied at the Westlakes Campus in Cumbria and have loved my time there. The scenery is amazing, it is located right next to the Lake District, which makes weekend getaways quite fun and unique. The British education places a stronger emphasis on independence. There is often more room for students to enjoy their learning experience and participate in extracurricular activities. This balance enables students to mature both academically and personally.
