Jing Zhang, China

MSc Media Management
I chose to study at the University of Stirling because of its great reputation, the University has consistently ranked highly for Communication and Media in the UK and many professors and lecturers work within the media industry.

Now I’m working in Germany as a Business Developer and a Media Specialist. I provide advice to a European brand who wants to attract the Chinese market, creating the business strategy and helping them to build their brand awareness in China.

At Stirling, you can learn all the media related topics that you are interested in. For example, film, music and advertisement. You will also have the chance to visit the BBC, the Scottish Parliament and the V&A Dundee. The business options are a special feature of the MSc Media Management. They are very helpful and provide you with a basic understanding of how international businesses work, which could give you an advantage when you look for a job and in your future career.

Dove White, China

MSc Human Resource Management
I was drawn to Stirling by the beautiful campus and international reputation. Stirling provides a truly immersive international experience. I developed my professional skills whilst learning to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities. I actually met my husband at the University of Stirling! I would advise current students to treasure their time at Stirling. There really is no place quite like our university. I would also encourage students to make the most of everything that the university offers. There are opportunities to develop personally through a variety of sports and social clubs. There is also a great deal of support and advice available to prepare students for their professional futures. Since graduating, I am now a Managing Consultant in a recruitment company called Taylor Hopkinson based in Glasgow. I manage a team focused on sourcing and hiring talent for Chinese solar clients in overseas markets. In my job, I have to balance training and supporting my team, whilst ensuring that we all hit our targets.
